Gonzaga Myszkowski
Modern art painter and performer, born in 1968 in Poznań, Poland. He studied art under Ryszard Fritz. In 1991 the artist moved to London
and has gained an international acclaim. In 2002 he returned to his hometown to open his atelier – The Grand Gallery (Galeria Wielka).
At the same time, he started an art salon, together with a group of young Polish artists and poets.
In 2005 he established the Maksymilian Myszkowski Foundation, which is a tribute to the artist’s grandfather, one of the most applauded Polish photographers of
the 20th century. Later on, in 2016 Piotr Myszkowski created Atelier Myszkowski – a Modern Art Gallery in Poznań.
The artist is known for his minimalistic, almost ascetic graphic expression. Myszkowski uses clean lines and shapes to deliver the idea of a well-organized
chaos. He wants to share his inspiration with the audience and stimulate it. The white canvas symbolizes freshness and longing for action. A single individual
can change the world by standing in opposition to it, just as the silhouette poses a contrast to the white background. The pure forms used in his artwork
are a perfect reflection of the saying ‘less is more’. His works were exhibited in Poland, England and Spain.
